Check this out guys,
http://www.bfs.com.ph/propertylist.html
This is a house & lot list being sold by Bahay Financial Services. The price is also included, which ranges from as low as 170k to 2M. When i saw this site, i got knocked off my feet and said to my self: “I want a house!”.
You might think i’m going nuts, buying a house and lot out of my meager salary. Yeah, you’re probably right. But i am a firm believer that through hardwork and persistence, i can get my abode by 2011 or so.
In the list, you can find a house that costs around P300,000. If i set aside 10,000 of my earnings (or more) every year, i could raise P360k by the end of 2011. What if i save more? Suppose i abstain from parties, eating at restaurants, buying DSLR and others… By that, i could save upto P15k per month. So by the end of 2011, i could raise P540k. Hehe, para namang ma-iipon ko naman toh!
Yeah, i might be dreaming. But still… i want a house! If i could save every single peso of my salary, i believe i could get the property i long for.
Target Locked! I’ll set aside large portion of my earnings to my future abode! I know it’ll be tough, so here’s the things i need to do to get it done:
1. Be Frugal
- I must ALWAYS think about the TRUTH. I am only an associate software engineer who earns an average salary. I should avoid overspending because i already experienced it! Be simple on my clothing and be practical on the things i need to buy. Para yata akong magiging kuripot na chinoy dito ah hehe!
2. Save!
- Every payday, i should put my money in the safest hand: My Mom. Hehe. She’s really a tightwad, very thrift in every single way of her life.
Second, i should also put some money around the house (ex: inside the picture frame, behind the drawer, inside my shoes, between the pages of my Bibles etc..) I have been doing this since college and i could say it is very effective in times of financial need. Plus, I’ll be having a hard time getting those P100 bills inside the aperature, behind the drawer, inside my shoes. Thus, i will Save those money and avoid getting them. Kpag sa bulsa kasi, madaling dukutin. Kaya madalas akong nakakapaglabas ng pera. hehe. This is hilarious yet very effective for me.
3. Budget
This is the hard part. I’m not used in jotting down my expenses every month which results to overspending. So for a Headstart, i should ALWAYS set aside 5k every payday so i can save more. I’ll should buy a planner or a notebook where i can log my expenses and the things i should or shouldn’t buy. Oh i wish for a wage increase! ~_~
Well, this sounds to be a good plan. However, i still need to confirm to my parents regarding my Family Tax. Will it be 50%, 60%, 70% or still 80%. I should also consider if i could avail an ERDT scholarship in Mapua so that i could slash my MS tuition fee by next year.
True love waits.. and while i wait, i’ll reach for my dreams! Yeabah!!
