My True Love… Waits
Ineffable phantom catches my eyes
As her pristine beauty passes me by
Thy cherry lips and sweet hi’s
Oh! How majestic, i could fly!
You came amidst of romantic soliloquy
Brought spring to my deep melancholy
Your mere presence makes me jerky
And my spirit, undeniably jolly!
Years had passed, seasons withered
Blown away by inevitable transitions
Our once passionate affection dwindled
As we reach our sky-high ambitions!
Now the long wait is finally over
It’s time for us to be together
Nothing can tear our love apart
As long we have each other’s heart
This is my entry on the Lawson PSSC’s Love Poem Contest. Though this writing didn’t won, i am still happy that i was able to produce this kind of literature. I used to participate in almost all of the activities in the office. That’s what i like here, having the opportunity to showcase my hidden talents.
Here’s a quick Dictionary that’ll sure be handy for this poem:
Ineffable - Cannot be spoken, Unspeakable,
Pristine - Fresh, young
Thy - Your
Soliloquy - Solitude, a speech to yourself
Melancholy - Sadness
Inevitable - Unavoidable, unchangeable
